Fitness Class Description

B = beginner, Int = Intermediate, Adv = Advanced

Spin:  Stationary bicycle class, 45 minutes, using the Tomahawk and E-spinners.  Explore various terrains (bicycle settings) to strengthen your cardiovascular system.  A great leg, glute and cardio workout.  Participants should cycle at their own comfort level.  Music is provided and instructors will encourage you to pedal to the rythm.  Spin classes require sign-up as bike availability is limited.

After Spin; Core, Strength & Stretch:  Most spin classes are followed by core conditioning and stretch class in the fitness studio.  Pedal till your heart’s content then cool down with abdominal and back strengthening and specific stretches for a well rounded work-out.

Zumba: A good cardiovascular dance work out.  A fusion of Salsa, Regaeton, Merengue, Samba and Cumbia with exciting music and easy to follow steps that everyone can do.  Takes place in the front of the gym, a fun and inspiring work-out.

Cardio, Core & Stretch:  A complete cardiovascular, strength and flexibility work-out.  Intense cardio bursts with strength and stretching exercises.  Sundays in the fitness studio.

Cranks:  Total body blast 45 minutes.  A class which utilizes body bars and dumbbells to develop complete muscular strength and endurance of the core, upper and lower body.

Boot Camp:  A high intensity work out which will challenge your strength, stamina, and coordination.  A class in the fitness studio which uses a circuit training approach with various exercise stations to target different muscle groups.

MMA Kickboxing:  A popular high intensity class where you will be learn all basic elements of boxing using punching bags and focus pads.  This is a challenging, fun and invigorating work out which builds self-confidence, agility, coordination, stamina and mental focus.

Pilates:  A class which helps you focus on the body- mind connection.  Mindful exercises which develop proper alignment and movement patterns of the spine, pelvis and shoulders.  Pilates creates a strong flexible body while increasing abdominal and back strength.

Yoga: Hatha Yoga:  Join our experienced yoga instructors who will guide you through yoga poses that will tone your muscles, increase flexibility, improve stamina and calm the mind.  Leaving you feeling better connected with your mind, body and spirit.

Yoga: Ah Ha Yoga:  With therapeutic yoga instructor Natasha Boldireff.  A gentle, mindful yoga class which makes you aware of how your muscles and joints move, improving body awareness, releasing held tension and improving overall muscle function.  Try it you will be guaranteed to learn something new.
