While all our trainers are certified, well trained, experienced and can work you as hard or as gentle as you like, the following might help you to decide who will best suit your style:
Warren is our coach and teacher. He is highly qualified and comes with a background in sports injury management and athletic conditioning. He loves to share his knowledge and you will learn a lot in only a few hours with him. His true passion is strength conditioning and sports specific training. Ask him anything – he loves to share!
Kyl has over 15 years experience coaching groups and individuals for both sports and fitness. Empathetic and focused Kyl is determined to help you feel physically better and get the most out of every session.
Kyl heads up our supervised training program Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5 – 7 pm. Programs are efficient and effective. Regular assessment will help you achieve your fitness goals.
Kyl has experience with weight loss, general fitness coaching, strength development, olympic style weightlifting, and sport performance training. Skinfold analysis for body fat percentages and/or hormonal profiling is also available.
Trudy believes in pushing the boundries, not necessarily with clients but with herself. With that in mind she became the first female to attempt the Enduroman Arch to Arc.
Trudy joins us from the UK as a Personal Trainer and Youth Triathlon Coach for the local C3. She found her passion in the form of running and represented her school and county at national levels, from there she went on to become an Instructor at Tai Jutsui Martial Arts gaining her 1st Kyu. She also studied Judo and Taekwondo for 3 years. Trudy has also been an assistant coach for gymnastics. 'At a young age I always wanted to do sports so I figured I should get paid for it.' Hence the desire to become a stunt person. Qualifications in Scuba Diving, Swimming, Martial Arts and a background in Gymnastics, Trampoling, Fencing and Jousting were needed. Trudy has even tried out for the UK version of American Gladiators. Then she found Triathlon….finally completing her first Ironman in 2006. She believes in pushing the boundaries, not necessarily with clients but with herself. With that in mind she became the first female to attempt the Enduroman Arch to Arc.
Vernette is passionate about exercise and very thoroughly researches everything she does. She is also the friendly face you will see in the early mornings at Riverdale. Her clients can rest assured that they will have fun and be challenged with innovative exercises. Vernette specializes in working with beginners and intermediate level clients.
Michelle stands for transformation and that is exactly what she has done. In just one year she went from overweight and unable to run to running a marathon and looking beautifully sculpted. How? Just ask her - she is here on Monday mornings.
Steve is very passionate about helping people learn and lead a healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and nutrition. He has educated himself through extensive research on a variety of different styles of fitness training which he teaches clients. Steve is also a Golf Teaching Professional with the CPGA for the last 18years. He is currently an Assistant Coach for the York University Women's Varsity Hockey Team going into his 7th season. Steve played semi-pro hockey in the United States many years ago. He is experienced in small group training as well as one on one from beginners to athletic clients. Steve looks forward to helping you learn new training ideas and exercises to make it fun to reach your personal goals. Feel free to approach him with any questions in regards to your health.
Matthew After graduating from York in 2007 with a BA in Psychology, Matthew decided to follow his passion for helping people with an alternative approach: by going to college to learn to be a personal trainer and fitness instructor. His commitment to study and academic excellence resulted in winning two awards after his first term, and his commitment to community involvement won him another after his third term. Matthew has both his Personal Trainer Specialist and Fitness Instructor Specialist certifications from Can-Fit-Pro and has been training clients since 2008. His greatest asset is his ability to listen to a client and help them define and achieve their fitness and health related goals. He'll be in the Mill on Monday and Tuesdays and will be helping us with fitness classes, personal training, front desk and floor work.
Crystal has been Can-fit Pro certified since 2007 and recently competed in her very first Figure competition. Her true passion in life is fitness and nutrition and she enjoys helping people effectively achieve their fitness goals. Whether it's one-on-one in the gym or teaching Bootcamp classes, Crystal loves to help others achieve results. Crystal enjoys playing hockey, sport bike rides and spending time with her kids. She has a diploma in Police Foundations and a BA in contemporary/criminology so being fit has always been important. She enjoys motivating people and pushing them to their limits. Crystal will be instructing our new GOOD MORNING Caledon Bootcamp classes on Monday at Wednesday mornings at 6am. You'll also see her smiling face every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for our early morning openings. She's also taking on personal training clients. She's one busy woman!
Kourtney‘s passion for helping people has brought her to a career in the health and fitness industry. She graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science and specialized honors in Kinesiology with an Athletic Therapy certificate. She had the experience of working with many of the varsity teams at York University including the swimming, hockey and soccer teams. She is a Certified Athletic Therapist, which has increased her knowledge in helping clients rehabilitate themselves and create strength quickly. If you are concerned about an injury, she can work with you, or work alongside your current health professional designing and tailoring a program for your specific needs. She looks forward to getting to know you and helping you make and achieve your goals, whether they are for sport performance or just everyday activity.
